Dr Yolanda Devine
Dr Yolanda Devine is a UK dual trained consultant child and adolescent and forensic psychiatrist who joined the child and adolescent team in January 2018. Dr Devine received her medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland in 1993. She began her training in psychiatry in 1995 and completed her higher-level training in 2006 in the NHS prior to taking up her first consultant post. She is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, London, UK.
Prior to relocating to Maudsley Health, Abu Dhabi, Dr Devine worked at the renowned Maudsley Hospital in the UK in the National and Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. During her time there she assessed and treated adolescents with challenging and risky behaviors that included: complex neurodevelopmental disorders, schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorders and anxiety. She also provided specialist pharmacological treatments for resistant depression and bipolar cases. She has significant experience in delivering inpatient care having worked at the secure forensic adolescent unit assessing and treating young people who were detained under the mental health act for criminal and civil cases and has worked in custodial settings acquiring expertise in medico–legal report writing.
Dr. Yolanda works with children and adolescents across a wide range of ages and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of;

Dr Devine works within a multidisciplinary team and provides each patient with evidence-based care. She uses an integrated approach that combines biological, psychological and social perspectives ensuring the highest clinical outcomes. She works closely with families and other professionals, including school counselors and pediatricians whenever possible, to ensure a continuum of care.
