Dr Victoria Mountford

Dr Victoria Mountford, BA(Hons), DClinPsy, has joined Maudsley Health from the prestigious South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust in London, Eating Disorders Service.  Victoria combines her clinical work with research and teaching. She has twenty years’ experience of working with individuals with eating disorders and body image concerns and their families.

She is a BABCP accredited practitioner, supervisor and trainer. She was part of the founding team who developed FREED, the first early intervention eating disorder service in London, UK. She has published widely, including three books Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for the Eating Disorders: A Comprehensive Treatment Guide (2007), Beating Your Eating Disorder: A Cognitive-Behavioural Self Help Guide for Adult Sufferers and their Carers (2010) and Brief Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Non-Underweight Patients: CBT-T for Eating Disorders (2019). Her research interests include early intervention, body image and cognitive behaviour therapy. Victoria is an experienced supervisor, has taught on a number of UK Doctorate in Clinical Psychology courses and regularly presents at international conferences.

She completed her BA (Hons) in Psychology at Reading University and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at University College London.
