Dr J. Myanthi Lennox

Clinical Psychologist

Dr J. Myanthi Lennox, BSc (Hons), MSc, PhD, DClinPsy, has joined Maudsley Health from the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust in London.

Dr Lennox completed her BSc (Hons) in Experimental Psychology at the University of Bristol and her MSc in Research in Psychology at the University of Oxford. She worked as a research psychologist for eight years prior to training as a clinician, during which time she also completed her PhD in Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King’s College London.

A key theme of Dr Lennox’s research has been improving the provision of care in clinical mental health settings and she has published on this subject in a range of journals. More recently, her work has focused on improving the longer-term mental wellbeing of those who have experienced difficult childhood experiences.

Dr Lennox completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King’s College London and the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. Over the past three years, she has worked across both child and adult services within a number of National and Specialist Services at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, that specialise in the treatment of Anxiety disorders, such as Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She has gained experience, across a number of services, of working with individuals presenting with complex mental health difficulties in the context of traumatic childhood and/or adult experiences. She has also worked with new mothers experiencing a range of moderate to severe mental health difficulties within the perinatal period.
