Maudsley Health Opportunities in Abu Dhabi and Dubai

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) is working with MACANI, a highly respected Abu Dhabi based organisation with a mission to develop and extend high quality mental health care across the United Arab Emirates. 

‘Maudsley Health, Abu Dhabi’ provides both CAMHS and Adult mental health outpatient services in a location just off the Corniche area.  It has a reputation for delivering high quality care.     

In Dubai, Maudsley Health manages the regions largest psychiatric hospital on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Prevention.  The service is structured into clinical academic groups of; CAMHS, Addictions, Forensics, Mental Health of Old Age, Learning Disability and Adults.   This is an exciting and unique opportunity to be part of a senior and experienced team to work in the collaboration between Maudsley Health and the Ministry of Health and Prevention to support the development of a Centre of Excellence. 

The service is preparing for further developments in the UAE and as a result, we are looking for additional high calibre experienced staff who engage well with patients and are committed to delivering the highest possible quality service using evidence-based practice.

A thorough induction program will be offered along with a commitment to continuing professional development.  Supervision will be provided within the service. 

As the service is still developing a degree of flexibility and creativity will be required together with an appreciation of relevant cultural issues.  Of greatest importance is the ability to deliver high quality, evidence based care. 

The successful applicants will need to fulfil the professional registration requirements of the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi or the Ministry of Health and Prevention.  The ability to speak Arabic is an advantage but is not essential.
