Antonia holds the post of CAMHS Service Manager, for Maudsley Health at the Al Amal Psychiatric Hospital in Dubai. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Mental Health Nursing in September 2014 in the UK. Following this she worked as a Staff Nurse within a female acute inpatient setting in a UK NHS Foundation Trust before taking up a post in a child and adolescent mental health inpatient ward in South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
Antonia remained in South London and Maudsley NHS Trust, moving to a community child and adolescent mental health team who specialized in caring for Looked After Children (LAC) and adopted children as well as supporting foster carers, adoptive parents and social workers. As part of this role Antonia also worked within two South London primary schools offering consultation and liaison and support to children, families and teachers. During this role Antonia completed her Mentorship qualification with Kings College University.
In 2019 Antonia moved to Dubai to work in Al Jalila Children’s Hospital, involved in the development of the CAMHS inpatient service. Within this role Antonia was lead safeguarding link, responsible for embedding new hospital wide safeguarding policies and cultures locally within the CAMHS inpatient team. She was also a Committee member of the Patient and Family Education JCI steering group in order to ensure evidence-based patient friendly resources were available for all patients as standard.
